Open IPSWin, First select the ROM Image,(thats often a file thats looks like a little computer with an (I) on it) then second select the Patch, click Patch! to patch the rom!.
Delete old Rom Image (i personally did'nt do that)

when it patch succesfully its automactic saved on the same file, you don't see a new file,
so go on to the next step.

When the patch is succesful is it supposed to create a new file or can I then use the same file that I patched(the same rom with the same name)?

I'm asking this because you're saying that I don't have to use the file wich I used to play on the emulator, but when I patched the file I didn't get a new one.

when i says Patch succesfully, then you have done it goodbig grin, and go 2 the next step.

if it did'nt said that, retry it with other files that are avilible in the map,
but don't use the file which used to play on the emulator.
